Recently, I was visiting one of my college friends in Chicago on a rather blustery weekend. Another friend who was also visiting just couldn't figure out how those of us who live where it gets cold can still look cute when we go outside. She is from California and doesn't understand the concept of layering because she has never been forced to do it. For those of us who are at home in places that actually experience seasons, we understand that not only should you have a hat, gloves, and a scarf, but a sweater, vest, or some other kind warm weather item that we can simply peel away once we reach the shelter of a heated environment. So yes, it IS possible to still look chic and put together when the temperature drops below freezing, but you have to be prepared. Just as Christmas has 12 days, I have picked out 12 festive winter outfits for your wardrobe inspiration, and let me tell you, these ladies have master the art of bundling up.
Don't all of these ladies look effortlessly fabulous? Even if you are wearing a dress out to a holiday party, you can still be covered enough to face the cold while still looking flawless. I always have the problem of my eyes watering so usually when I get anywhere my eye make-up conjures up images of a rabid raccoon. Maybe I should invest in wind goggles. Those are totally stylish right?
